Tender & Contract Programmes
In today’s competitive market it has never been more important to have a clear and robust tender programme. Whilst these programmes aren’t necessarily to be relied on for the construction stage, they can provide a clear indication to the client that key outputs and date constraints can be met. It should have a clear completion date and allow time related site costs to be easily cross referenced. The Programme
The production of a programme of works is commonly required as part of a construction contract. Including it within a list of contract documents will result in it becoming binding on both parties; there are benefits and risk associated with this.
The Construction
In the absence of contractual terms, the contractor is generally free to choose how they go about construction of the works within the contractual duration.
The Contract
The initial contract programme is usually considered to be the baseline programme. It is advantageous to make this as detailed as possible in order for delays as they occur, to be incorporated into the schedule.
Hour by hour programmes / Box plans / Quantity Trackers
Understanding and integrating all scope and disciplines is of paramount importance when delivering time critical works e.g. rail possession works. Ellerker Project Management has frequently delivered detailed multidisciplinary plans for high end clients.
Ellerker Project Management can also provide you with box plans or quantity trackers if gantt charts aren’t your thing. Remember, whilst planning software like Primavera is excellent, there is nothing better than on site quantity tracking to ensure you are meeting day by day and weekly shift pattern targets.
